Weather at any point on the map, from the nearest stations.
No server. Your location never leaves your browser.
~7,500 METAR stations listed; the ~5,600 that reported in the last 7 days are used, with live observations.
Distance-weighted average (kNN / IDW) of the nearest stations within 100 km, temperature corrected for elevation, dew point averaged as vapor pressure, wind averaged as direction and strength together; method from SenseAI's weather tools (2015), where I was CTO.
Stations: idle-intelligence/metar-stations, built from Iowa Environmental Mesonet rosters. Observations: Iowa Environmental Mesonet, api.weather.gov; elevation from Open-Meteo. Map: country borders and cities from Natural Earth (public domain).
